π§π© One Day for the Nation
One Day for the Nation is a collaborative program organized by Nirmol Bangladesh that aims to promote social awareness, safety, patriotism, climate resilience, and environmental conservation among students [17, 18]. The program encourages individuals to take direct action on climate change by dedicating one full day of their time specifically to environmental conservation activities [19].
By bringing together students, educators, and skilled community resource persons, this initiative empowers participants with practical knowledge and inspires a deep sense of responsibility toward the sustainable development and betterment of Bangladesh [18].
π Student Leadership Program
The Student Leadership Program is a dedicated initiative that provides students with the critical opportunity to develop their organizational and leadership skills [19, 20]. Participants are guided to work hands-on with projects directly related to climate change mitigation and environmental conservation [19, 20]. By participating, students learn how to lead teams, execute grassroots campaigns, and foster long-term environmental stewardship within their academic institutions and local communities.
π Climate Change Adaptation Planning
As part of our commitment to policy advocacy and scientific development, Nirmol Bangladesh actively facilitates Climate Change Adaptation Planning initiatives. This includes organizing high-level international and national seminars, such as the seminar on "Climate Change & Adaptation Planning: A Policy Framework" [21].
These activities are essential for empowering local stakeholders to understand vulnerabilities and design effective, community-based adaptation models. We aim to equip policymakers, researchers, and community leaders with the strategic foresight necessary to adapt to climate shocks (like erratic rainfall and tropical cyclones) and establish resilient policy frameworks for the future [21, 22].
