Our stories
Forging a Resilient Future for Bangladesh
Nirmol Bangladesh is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to climate resilience, sustainable development, and environmental education in Bangladesh. We drive scientific research, community empowerment, and oceanography initiatives to build a sustainable future for youth and women in vulnerable coastal regions.
Harnessing science, empowering communities, and driving policy to navigate the challenges of climate change and secure a sustainable tomorrow.
Explore Our MissionThe Climate Imperative
Bangladesh is on the frontlines of a global climate crisis. Rising sea levels, extreme weather, and ecological degradation threaten millions of lives and livelihoods. We exist to turn the tide.
Sea Level Rise
An 85 cm rise by 2050 could displace nearly 20 million people and submerge 17% of our coastal land.
Salinity Intrusion
Since the 1970s, land affected by salinity has increased by 27%, rendering vast agricultural areas infertile.
Extreme Weather
Ranked 7th most vulnerable to climate change, Bangladesh faced 185 extreme weather events from 2000-2019.
Our Mission & Vision
To build a resilient, equitable, and sustainable future for climate-vulnerable communities through integrated scientific research, evidence-based policy advocacy, grassroots empowerment, and cultivating a new generation of environmental stewards.
Our Impact at a Glance
We translate strategy into tangible outcomes, driving meaningful change across Bangladesh.
